Japan Nuclear Fallout - On Its Way to The US

A meltdown may be under way at one of Fukushima Daiichi’s nuclear power
reactors in northern Japan, an official with Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial
Safety Agency told CNN Sunday. “There is a possibility, we see the
possibility of a meltdown,” said Toshihiro Bannai, director of the agency’s
international affairs office, in a telephone interview from the agency’s
headquarters in Tokyo. “At this point, we have still not confirmed that
there is an actual meltdown, but there is a possibility.” Though Bannai said
engineers have been unable to get close enough to the core to know what’s
going on, he based his conclusion on the fact that they measured radioactive
isotopes in the air Saturday night.

Japan has now declared 5 of their 55 reactors are in a state of emergency.  11 of the 55 facilities are off line. Additional aftershocks measuring over a magnitude 6 have prevented teams from continuing to pour sea water on the overheating reactors.

190 people as of 9:00am in Japan have already become ill with radiation sickness

As of 6:30am Pacific time, Sources have also told Coup Media that there may be a potential breech in the main reactor. This could spell a massive nuclear meltdown in the region that could threaten the United States and other Nations with Radioactive fallout.

50 rad to the thyroid gland can result in benign (non cancerous) tumors.

125 to 200 rad to the ovaries can result in prolonged or permanent suppression of menstruation in about fifty percent (50%) of women, loss of hair and typical radiation symptoms.

200 to 300 rad to the skin can result in the reddening of the skin (erythema), similar to a mild sunburn and may result in hair loss due to damage to hair follicles, and a slow death.

600 rad to the ovaries or testicles can result in permanent sterilization And certain death within a very short amount of time, Hours or days.

Note that the Fallout Chart below is a simplified representation of the dispersion based on natural weather patterns and modeled after the Chernobyl incident and could expose millions of Americans and Canadians to radiation in excess of 700RAD within 10 days.  The chart below that has circulated the internet does not take into account proper dilution ratios nor atmospheric factors, Renken Equivalent Man  (REM) levels would what would be more complex to calculate, but would provide a more accurate impact on living organisms.  The figures shown assume maximum radiation levels at the source, not allowing for containment of fusion products in the remaining structure.  It is not our intent to alarm the population.  These estimates will be refined as more is known and unerstood about the source core conditions and the success of containment of the reactor vessel. If Attempts to contain the reactor vessel itself are successful, the impact could be much  less than an international extinction level event.  Rest assured, United States as well as international health physics personnel and NOAA facilities are working on bettering the model and forecast.
