California Congressman Okays Sodomy for Convicts!

In California, Oakland Democratic Assemblyman Rob Bonta has proposed the issuing of condoms to convicts.

Mind you, we are not talking about conjugal visits…we are talking about Bubba and Shrimp, or, in other words, he who is the biggest con and a sexual predator, and he who has no, uh, protection from the biggest dude on the block.

So, it is protection from sodomy. Which means that our friendly democratic assemblyman is giving implicit blessings to that practice.

Sodomy is, to be sure, sort of illegal.

I say sort of because, according to California penal code 286 PC, it is illegal to force somebody to have sodomy against his/her will.

So if Shrimp said yes, then he gets a state approved condom.

Except for the fact that, sodomy or not, sex is a felon for convicts.

Isn’t that interesting? A guy breaks the law, so you give him more laws not to break. There’s something insidious about that, but we’ll leave it for another time. Right now we are interested in rubbers for robbers.

The stated purpose behind the good Assemblyman’s bill is to stop the transmission of STDs. These Sexually Transmitted Diseases would include syphils, ghonorrea, AIDs, and so on.

This writer has a slightly different opinion of what would make a prison where STDs are not allowed to spread, and what would rehabilitate Bubba and Shrimp.

Currently, people go to prison, and they are allowed interchange with the rest of the criminal population.

Why?

One of the items that contributes to bad boys is hanging around other bad boys. So why should we put them all together and let them continue to hang out with their friends? And to learn the latest in good criminal techniques?

It would be a lot cheaper to isolate these criminals and not allow them to communicate with their fellow law breakers, and to encourage upstanding people to come and talk to these bad boys about how crime hurts.

Let priests in training, or psychiatric counselors in training, to be the only ones to talk to these criminals in isolation.

It might be considered more than just classroom training for priests and psychiatrists to lecture to audiences starved for a little human contact, and to see if they could actually change the thinking of some of these fellows.

Incidents of riots would go way down, and it would be impossible for convicts to transmit their little STDs.

Perhaps our lawmakers should consider the points made here, and a different method for incarcerating convicts, rather than implicitly blessing sodomy by issuing condoms for convicts.
