A tangled web of operators working on behalf of Saudi interests?

As this years summer came to an end, Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan twice approached Vladimir Putin with a deal to back away from the Syrian conflict. He apparently offered the Russian president $15 billion in weapons contracts, Putin declined. It was then alleged that Bandar offered up a lions share in the oil market, supposedly giving Russia a chance to ‘control the world’s oil market’ with some kind of deal between OPEC and Russia, again only if Russia stopped supporting the Syrian government. For good measure, Bandar allegedly offered up protection for the upcoming Winter Olympics but with a caveat, 
“I can give you a guarantee to protect the Winter Olympics next year. The Chechen groups that threaten the security of the Games are controlled by us.’’

Is the Saudi prince following through on his purported threats?

According to The Moscow Times, Russian authorities thwarted a bomb plot on a chemical weapons facility in the Kirov region just recently:

“Unidentified suspects, aged 19 and 21, had planned to detonate a homemade bomb at the Maradykovsky facility in order to ”influence the decision-making process of authorities and international organizations,” the regional branch of the Investigative Committee said on its website.”
 
Continuing, the article stated:

“The suspects in the planned bombing attack were not local residents, having only arrived to the region in September from Moscow, top regional investigator Grigory Zhitenyov told a news conference, news website Pervoistochnik reported.”

Today, apparently a female suicide bomber targeted a bus in Volgograd, central Russia. Russia Today reports:

“The preliminary information indicates that “the female suicide bomber recently converted to Islam, and was the wife of a militant leader,” an Investigative Committee representative told the media.”

At the moment, it’s unclear if these two events are related in some way but it one has to admit the timing of these events is very dubious, if Bandar’s statement to the Kremlin was accurate.

Patrick Henningsen, founder of 21Wire, provided this analysis of Saudi Arabia’s influence this past August:

“The Prince reportedly stated that if his offer is accepted, then Saudi Arabia would not sign any contracts damaging Russian interests… by ‘allowing Gulf countries to transport its gas across Syria to Europe’. Yes, that pipeline – the one which will transport Qatari gas through Syria, to the Mediterranean. Paid for with Saudi Arabian cash.” 

“This would explain exactly why both the Saudis and Qataris – both staunch allies of Britain and the US, have been financing this confab of rebels and terrorist brigades in Syria for the last two years.” 

Henningsen goes on to discuss the multi-layered partnerships between Saudi Arabia and the US, including  the Tony Blair and Bush family’s corporate giant The Carlyle Group.

Only time will tell how this latest ‘terror’ incident will affect the global chessboard.

Russian Terrorist Attack With Numerous Casualties Caught On Dashcam

Several hours earlier, news broke that a bomb had exploded on a bus in the southern Russian city of Volgograd, a few hundred kilometers from Sochi where the winter Olympics will be held. Russian investigators announced they suspect a female suicide bomber was responsible for the bombing which killed at least five people according to Interfax. Citing a source in the regional Investigative Committee office, Interfax said identity documents belonging to the suspected bomber were found near the site and that she was believed to have been the wife of an Islamist militant. Below, we show the dash cam video which caught this terrorist act in process.
