Judge Imposes Conditions on Arpaio, Sheriff's Office
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office will have to work closely with a court-appointed monitor and plaintiffs in a racial-profiling lawsuit to demonstrate that the Sheriff’s Office has addressed discriminatory practices, according to a federal court ruling released Wednesday.
The ruling for now brings to an end the racial-profiling lawsuit that began after a sheriff’s deputy stopped a day laborer near Cave Creek in 2007, and details steps the Sheriff’s Office must take to emerge from court-ordered oversight.
U.S. District Judge Murray Snow ruled in May that the Sheriff’s Office had engaged in discrimination through its immigration-enforcement efforts, and attorneys for Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the American Civil Liberties Union have spent the months since negotiating a mutually agreeable resolution to address Snow’s findings.
The sheriff’s attorneys specifically resisted the notion of a court-appointed monitor and the idea of court-ordered community involvement.

how is asking someone, who happens to be mexican, at a day labor employment center, to identify themselves and inquiring if they are here legally, wrong? given that ILLEGALS have killed, in one way or another 25k people in the last few years in this country!! Raped countless women, molested an untold amount of children. dui’s, robberies, home invasions, drug running, drug dealing, etc etc etc..
I have driven through the checkpoints “that are no where near the fricking border” and been asked if I am an US CITIZEN!
Unless you have time to kill, never ask them questions, they aren’t hired because they’re bright and take offense to being asked questions they haven’t the slightest clue as how to answer.
for instance, when an ice agent/border patrol agent asks if you are a US CITIZEN, never ask him if he knows ALL FOUR DEFINITIONS of what a CITIZEN IS OR CAN BE or what the difference is between a Citizen and a citizen, and NEVER ask him WHICH United States he is referring to. yes virginia there is more than one united states. If you do ask them any of these questions their vision goes blurry and they get a lost look on their face, turn their head slightly “just like the old rca victrola dog ad” and say.
