1B Rising Campaign to end raping, beating 1 in every 3 women on planet (VIDEO)
On 14 February, a One Billion Rising campaign is calling on women and men to rise up and demand an end to violence against women.
An estimated one in three women will be beaten or raped in her lifetime – 1 billion women.
This year’s campaign is calling for justice for survivors of gender violence.
The film Who Cares below takes a unique approach to presenting research on unpaid care work linking women and girl’s economic abuse rather than empowerment and human rights.
Financial abuse is another form of violence against women.
Gender Inequality and Defense Budget Abuse of Women
The film story follows a woman caregiver, living in poverty, throughout her daily struggles against drudgery associated with unequal care responsibilities.
Unpaid care work underpins the well-being of all societies, rich and poor. It is, however unrecognised and undervalued by policymakers and legislators.
This animated film highlights the need for policy change that recognises the role of women and girls in the provision of unpaid care; reduces drudgery of unpaid care; and redistributes unpaid care work (from women to men, and from the family to communities and the state), thus laying the basis for true gender equality.
The animation complements a United Nations special report on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights, and highlights key findings from research on the empowerment of women and girls.
The film was developed by the Institute of Development Studies, with funding from the Department For International Development (DFID).

Only one in three? I fear that’s an underestimate. Sadly, I’d bet at least two in three. We should all challenge abuse whenever we see it, difficult as that often is.

The Pentagon is finally working to curb the epidemic of sexual assault in the military but a key Department of Defense panel working to reform military policy has been keeping the public from its meetings.
The DoD sexual assault panel has three subcommittees that hold closed-door meetings. While the panel provides transcripts of the meetings, the public is kept out of the process. A series of scandals, one which led to the retirement of the head of the military’s Sexual Assault Prevention Office, have shaken the public’s confidence in the Pentagon’s ability to properly deal with these cases. Holding closed-door meetings isn’t helping their credibility.
I think the violence is bad against but LET’S NOT FORGET media and games especially tend to educate younger ones into being more aggressive with women.
In that respect I think the media is CERTAINLY AT FAULT here for shaping the youth INTO NOW being nothing more than brutes seeing women as nothing more than holes to empty in from one’s lust.
Truly a disgusting SATANIC agenda whom gets worse NOW WITH PEDO filth like never before seen.
That being said I strongly suggest to reverse all damage done but WITH BAD NEWS whom is that it will take WELL OVER 30 years to bring sens back to people considering how the 80s and 90s sexualized the girls like never before. GOING BACK TO MEDIA AS A BLAME!

Even in remote islands where I’ve worked, villagers sit in thatched roof huts with a generator watching gruesome violent US movies and imitate Americans they love so much. Sad.
We’ve allowed the biggest mind control weapon of all – TV – to train children to be killers.
Kill the TV. Boycott movies with gratuitous violence.
