Maybe if you had a parent suffering from dementia or alzheimer’s to the point of not even knowing you they are and went off wondering on their own, you’d wish they had been implanted with something of the sort.
Same applies to young children who get abducted.
This is not the mark of the beast. The issues of privacy aside, the mark of the beast in the Bible involves an act where one receives the mark, which is a joining to the Antichrist and his commercial system, as opposed to refusing the mark, in defiance of the devil’s system and, ostensibly, refusing for allegiance to God.

Absent the Antichrist being in power to dictate this system and people to receive or reject the mark, there is no mark of the beast. This is not to say microchips will not be employed to this end, but receiving a medical chip is not the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast involves one’s allegiance to, acceptance of, the beast world system, in no way involves a medical chip for people with dementia, regardless the other arguments pro or con.
