O.F. Mossberg and sons announced several new products on the opening day of SHOT show 2015, including a rimfire AK-47 look alike. Dubbed, the Blaze, it comes in two variants. The first features a traditional hunting style stock while feeding from a removable, ten-round magazine while the second is designed as a rimfire AK47 facsimile named the Blaze 47.

All Blaze rifles use polymer furniture, and the standard model is available in four different color variations: Muddy Girl, Wildfire black synthetic and Kryptic Highlander.

vBoth Blaze 47s ship with an extended, 25-round magazine that features a windowed body, and follower with loading assistor attached.

Additionally, all models include an adjustable, green fiber-optic rear-sights and fixed front sight posts. The front sight posts are part of a barrel shroud secured to the barrel with an allen screw.

The most noteworthy feature among all Blaze rifles is how light they are; the traditional models are under four pounds and the militaristic ones under five.

Neither an MSRP or release date was given, but these models will likely hit shelves later this year.

Great! If you like to miss your targets and get a lot of collateral damage. That is why his weapon is so feared. And in the hands of Grandma you make the enemy scatter faster than miichelle and obama skipping their check at Fat Hardees.

Probably be something fun to plink with, IF YOU COULD FIND .22LR AMMO!

BUT, since the NRA, NSSF and all the other ‘send us money’ pro-gun clubs completely fail to realize that most stores don’t even carry the round anymore (and I am not paying $5 for a box of .22LR at a gun store), then the .22LR is a caliber of memory.

Sorry, but if you can’t support the sport, or gun rights, and you’re going to let Uncle ‘Wal-Mart’ Lenin and his brother, K-Mart Stalin remove the .22LRs from their shelves, and let all those ‘good ole boy’ ammo hoarders suck the .22LR supply dry – then a few thousand of you can bilk it for all it’s worth, until the gun grabbers take them from you.

Don’t expect my support anymore, when you can’t stop the hoarders, you can’t quit feeding them on gunbroker, you can’t speak out in public and you can’t quit visiting the stores that suddenly went PRO-Bama in 2010 and pulled their .22LRs from their shelves.

I foresee .22LR the next ‘Saturday Night Special’ project of the gun control fanatics. I actually look forward to this happening, if for no other reason than to BURN the hoarders with their MILLIONS of privately stocked .22LR rounds that they are getting rich off of selling, only as a result of totally crushing the retail side of a fixed supply system.
