China Tests HYPERSONIC Nuclear Missile

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

21st Century Wire says…

If war avoidance wasn’t already at the top of your agenda, this should firmly place it up there in the number one spot.

Watch a video of this report here:

China has confirmed that it recently tested its hypersonic nuclear missile the WU-14. It is the fourth such test in the past 18 months, which has been described as an ‘extreme maneuver’ by U.S. officials.

The WU-14 is understood to be one of the most advanced pieces of military technology on Earth, and travels at ten times the speed of sound. It travels at quite literally the edge of space, performs advanced evasion techniques, and, is specifically designed to evade U.S. missile defences, which are most effective against projectiles with predictable trajectories.

China responded to U.S. concerns by saying that ‘the scheduled scientific research and experiments in our territory is normal, and those tests are not targeted at any country and specific goals’.

Professor He Qisong of the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law said ‘The Wu-14 … is designed to penetrate US missile defense systems, meaning the PLA is capable of defending China’s territorial sovereignty. But such a test is only a nuclear deterrent. Neither China nor the US wants to declare war over the South China Sea issues’.

The issues in the South China Sea revolve around disputed islands and territorial waters. Some believe this test of WU-14 is a response to the U.S. flying a spy plane over the region a few weeks back in May 2015.

The Americans will, undoubtedly, have similar technology hidden away, as while they inhabit the position of global hegemon it is not necessary to flaunt it on a regular basis.

With such technology now firmly on both sides of the Pacific Ocean, conflict should always be the furthest thing from the table. Unfortunately, that’s not what the military industrial complex is looking for.

Do you believe there is a Chinese threat?

China confirms test of new hypersonic strike vehicle ‘Wu-14′

RT

The Chinese Defense Ministry confirmed the fourth test of a hypersonic nuclear delivery vehicle, which the US called an “extreme maneuver,” amid rising tensions between the two powers in the South China Sea.

The test of the hypersonic glide vehicle, which the US has dubbed the “WU-14”, was carried out on June 7 and is the missile’s fourth test in 18 months.

“The scheduled scientific research and experiments in our territory is normal, and those tests are not targeted at any country and specific goals,” the ministry said in response to a report published on Thursday by the Free Beacon.
