Standing Rock protesters ran over after surrounding man’s truck (VIDEO)
At least two protesters were ran over as they blocked the road in Standing Rock while a resident was trying to go home after a day at work.
In a video posted to social media, a crowd of protesters could be seen surrounding the man’s very large work truck, with many standing close enough in front that their bodies were touching the truck.
The man, who was armed with a handgun, repeatedly told the protesters that he was simply trying to get home and that the road he was on was the way to get there. But the protesters continued to surround his truck and yelled at him about being peaceful while demanding he put the gun away. Some protesters put their hands in the air, but still blocked the road.
The man continued to inch forward, eventually running over at least two people. The protesters also claim the man fired several rounds into the air, but that was not caught on the video.
The man took off, but all of the information they gathered from his truck – the concrete company he works for and the phone number – has since been shared all over the internet.
