If you live where this kind of weather is unprecedented then if you can’t do anything else, please just stay hydrated.
The hottest time of the day is around 10-11am through about 4-5pm. Try to stay inside during those times. Invest in some bottled water for your car, just in case
Remember, that cloudy weather will cool things down while it is hot, but it will make sunburns easier. The science behind it goes something like the clouds prevent the UV rays that cause sunburns from leaving the atmosphere, and they bounce back from the clouds to the ground. So if it is cloudy you can go outside, but stay in the shade.

Tight fitting clothes will make you hotter. Loose fitting clothes wick away moisture from your body and create shade. Plant fibers like cotton and flax work well to keep you cool. Just look for styles that are not tight. I do not know how to explain it really, but loose clothing does keep you cooler.
Clothes provide some minor UV protection. But like a cotton t-shirt might have a UV Protection of like 15. If you need to go outside for about 10 minutes or so just wear some light pants or sleeves, longer than that and you may need sunscreen.

For heaven’s sake, please be mindful when you go somewhere that with the intense heat, young children and pets must never be left alone in a vehicle even if the air conditioning is left on. They are also prioritized in some places where it gets very hot and if you do that then expect to find a broken window and authorities called. The inside of a car is hotter by more than 10 degrees than whatever the temperature actually is. So if it is 114 somewhere then the inside of a car, especially a dark colored one, can easily reach 130 in no time.
Just be mindful. It is so sad to hear about those child deaths on the news because it is a common sense thing and so very preventable.
