Sad that our US Navy has zero salvage assets anymore, as you educated me yesterday with your excellent interview with Mr. Konrad. We have to wait for overseas contractors to mobilize. While I agree the Dutch are probably the best in the world at that business, the fact that we’ve out-sourced that critical skill is just shameful. But I’m sure the various alphabet agencies (NTSB, DOT, USCG, FBI, etc) will generate plenty of spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations to tell us two years from now what happened! In fact, most of these government folks will probably be working from home. The only folks who can actually turn a wrench and facilitate a salvage are not from this country anymore. Sad.
