Our government did have an outstanding debt of approximately $2.9B, however, due to our having been under the Rothschild rule via the Second Bank of the United States, which was brought down by President Andrew Jackson. President Jackson’s policies, though, did not eliminate our debt altogether, and the US was forced to make payments on it over the next few decades.
Today, in 2010, we are in debt to the tune of trillions of dollars.
