Blessed Sister Catherine Emmerich – (1774-1824): She was a German Catholic nun, a mystic and a stigmatic (she bore the unexplained wounds of Our Lord on her body). It is documented by both the Church and the German authorities that she lived on Holy Communion alone for years, she never ate any solid food and very little liquid, which is considered an impossibility. When I asked the Lord directly in prayer, if those craft we observed entering and exiting volcanos were Angels, the strangest thing occurred.
I can only describe it as the Spirit coming over me. I froze up in a sort of numbing rigidity, and a mild shock ran in a wave from my head to my feet then back to my head again, and it cycled 3 or 4 times.

A prayer to someone else, other than Jesus, to intercede for us is an impotent prayer. It is the precious blood of Jesus that affords us to be able to come boldly before the throne of God that we may obtain mercy and grace. Is it not an insult to Jesus to neglect this privilege which He died on the cross to give us?
