20 Most Mysterious Creatures Caught on Camera in Chernobyl
On 26 April 1986, a fatal accident took place at Soviet Union’s Chernobyl nuclear plant located in present day Ukrainian area of Pripyat. It has been one of the most remorseful events of human history. The explosion itself and its resulting effects on air, water and the soil in the area proved to be the excessively tragic due to severe radioactivity. Not only a large number of people suffered traumatic situations but all types of living beings faced drastic consequences of radiation which led to mutations some even completely disfiguring their entity. Visitors returning from the infected area bring different footages and claim to have seen mutated species of animals as a result of radiation.

A lot of these animals have nothing to do with Chernobyl at all. The headless deer obviously has its head turned away and down, you can see its ear. The other deer obviously has foliage caught in its antlers. Some marine creatures are very bizarre and their young are not familiar – I dare say marine biologists can identify some of these ‘mutants’. There is one obvious model, and maybe some more convincing ones. Mutations occur without nuclear radiation all the time. Most of the animals living in the Pripyet area are more healthy than those elsewhere. The danger of nuclear radiation are wildly exaggerated.
As for the myths, there are more than enough of them. Moreover, one can recall both children’s horror stories about animals with two heads, and more adult stories about the invasion of marauders and the lives of people who are hiding in this area.
