2011 Tax Rate Table
In late December 2010, the IRS issued 2011 Federal tax rates with updated Federal tax brackets after Congress passed Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. The Tax Relief Act of 2010 extended Bush-era tax cut for all Americans for two more years regardless their incomes and reduced payroll taxes temporarily for 2011. With the enactment of the new tax cut law, the new 2011 tax rates, effective January 1, 2011, remain the same as 2010 tax rates, which consist of tax brackets of 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, and 35% for Singles, Married Couples Filing Jointly, Married Couples Filing Separately, and Heads of Households. The complete tax rate table is shown below.

In addition, the IRS also issued updated information regarding
- Child tax credit;
- Hope scholarship, American opportunity, and lifetime learning credits;
- Earned income credit;
- Standard deduction;
- Personal exemption;
- Qualified transportation fringe benefits;
- Phaseout of the deduction for interest on education loans.
