The iPhone has come to represent all that is new in technology but its Android rivals also have a strong claim as pioneers of consumer technologies. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was often preferred over the iPhone 4S due to its distinctly larger screen and Android operating system which seemed to be more adaptable for the user. The iPhone will always be a market leader and an era defining product but so will many of its Android rivals which we’ll take a look at now.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 installed Samsung as serious rivals to Apple’s iPhone. It’s large screen and clean, sleek design was in direct contrast to Apple’s more organic styling. The iPhone 5 has a bigger screen but its size still looks small beside its Android rivals: the Sony Xperia T, 4.6 Inches; the Samsung Galaxy S3, 4.8 inches; the LG Optimus 4X, 4.7 inches; and the HTC One X, 4.7 inches.
The HTC One X in particular has won rave reviews since its inception due to its exceptional looks and class leading power. HTC seemed intent on having a good crack at the top spot with the One X and have designed a phone with iPhone rivaling performance as well as a competitive price tag; in doing so, it appears they may have come up with one of the best pound for pound packages on the market.
The Sony Xperia T also falls into a slightly cheaper price bracket but offers a bigger screen which is powered by the Bravia engine associated with TV’s. It also has a remarkable 13MP camera.
