There are some brands whose history spans centuries, and sometimes even a thousand years.

Nisiyama Onsen Keiunkan

Located in Yamanashi, Japan, Nisiyama Onsen Keiunkan Hotel opened in 705 and still continues to welcome visitors to this day. The long-lived hotel was noted by the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest institution of its type in the world. Surprisingly, it even has the same owners as the business remained in the hands of the same family which has been managing the hotel for 52 generations now.

Sean’s Bar

There is a bar in Ireland which is over eleven centuries old. We are talking about Sean’s Bar located in the city of Athlone. It opened its doors in 900. One of the reasons for its amazing longevity is a favorable location – it is situated on an important transit route in Ireland which bypasses impassable swamps.

Affligem Abbey Brewery

Affligem Abbey Brewery created a special beer with a history that dates back to 1074. The authors of its recipe were monks who worked in the abbey. Belgian brewery successfully brewed the beer according to the old and proven recipe. According to 1000logos.net, in 2006 Heineken bought Affligem Abbey Brewery, but it did not affect the continuation of fine traditions in any way.

Beretta

Weaponary brands can also be legendary. Beretta was founded as a small family business in 1526 and quickly grew due to its favorable location – the production was founded near mountains riche with iron, providing it with the necessary raw materials. The company remains one of the largest arms suppliers in the world.

Cambridge University Press

Cambridge University Press is the oldest publishing house in the world, and also the second largest after Oxford University Press. The history of the creation of this amazing place starts in 1534 and it had to do with the will of the king. This is when Henry VIII presented Cambridge University a patent for the publication of printed materials.

Bushmills

Bushmills started brewing whiskey back in 1608, and, again, with the support of the monarch. It was King James I who allowed Thomas Phillip to produce alcohol beverages in County Antrim in Northern Ireland. Since then, the company has created a whole new line of whiskey drinks, including the world famous signature “Irish Honey flavor”.

Zildjian

The legendary Beatles and the Rolling Stones were among those who played on the Zildjian’s cymbals. Today, the company remains one of the most famous manufacturers of its kind in the world. Zildjian “was born” in Turkey: the company was created in Istanbul in 1623. However, it would gain worldwide popularity and recognition with the legends of the music industry only upon moving to the United States.

Grolsch

This brand started its beer production in 1615. Even then, the company favorably differed from the competitors – Grolsch sold their beer in bottles with caps, which could be used to close the bottle in order to preserve the beer freshness. And even though the company has long been purchased by another well-known brand, the name Grolsch does not lose its popularity even today.

Royal Delpht

The manufacturer of high-quality ceramic handmade products began its history more than 350 years ago – in 1653. The company management explains the “longevity” of the brand by the fact it rejects any orientation towards mass production.

Twinings

Founded in 1706, Twinings is also one of the oldest tea companies in the UK that still operates. Moreover, the company is a vivid example of British respect for traditions: the company never changed its original location and logo throughout the whole history of its existence.
