Two online businesses that caught my eye on Flippa this week

Hello and happy Monday 👋  It’s been like summer here in SF, and yes, since we don’t get summer during summer time, we’ll take it when we can get it! As the week kicks off I’ve also kicked off a little search for some interesting online businesses on Flippa and this week certainly delivered (some pun intended).

Also in case you missed it, Flippa announced $11M in new funding a couple of weeks ago so things are probably going to get pretty exciting over the next few months!

Okay, enough from me, let’s get to the good stuff – below are two online businesses that caught my eye on Flippa this week – enjoy!

This first site is a great starter site for someone that clearly has a lot of room to grow. Started two years ago Track a PKG is a content site that sounds like it’s already ranking well for a wide range of terms related to one heck of a hot topic these days. The seller is fully verified but doesn’t have a history of selling on Flippa which in my mind means it’s probably important to do a little extra DD or use Flippa’s awesome Due Diligence service.

What I like about content sites is that you don’t have to worry about dealing with physical products and you can easily hire content writers (or write articles yourself) to scale up and generate even more traffic.

Next up is a site that checks all the boxes for me. First – it’s seven years old which means this site has a lot of history and a proven track record that you can look back on. The site itself is different from other businesses I’ve seen on Flippa before – it’s an Instagram page portfolio. What makes this really unique is that you have a built in traffic source so it’s very likely that the owners claims are true – there’s real, predictable, stable revenue here.

Like the previous site, the owner doesn’t have a history of past sales on Flippa so I’d take my time to do solid DD on this to make sure everything looks good.

Okay, and there you have it, the two online businesses that caught my eye on Flippa this week. There are so many great opportunities to buy businesses that are already up, running, and generating revenue. That being said, I encourage people to look at businesses that are in specific industries/niches that you yourself are actually interested in, that will make running and scaling the business a lot more fun.
