Support for Israel: running the numbers

According to mainstream media Israel is an aggressor and the reason for everything from Climate Change to poverty. Boycotts at universities and colleges, even “artists” in the UK all get headlines about how they are boycotting Israel. Too bad for them. The people who buy the tickets, pay the tuition and give alumni donations and gifts are not thinking this way. Social media and alternative media have drastically differing statistics which show that grassroots support for Israel is growing astronomically.

Social media is a technological phenomenon that no one has yet to fully grasp. “Viral” is a term for instantaneous facts, truth and rumors that all travel at digital speed and multiply like germs caught in a sneeze. Posters and marketers realize too late that the inside joke, the “personal” selfie and mean tempered rant are now seen and known by at least two billion human beings worldwide. Regular searchers and internet users currently number at least that with half being in Asia. That’s a lot of apologies or “white out” to have to use to try to erase a mistake or lapse of judgment. The web is seemingly forever and never forgets.

The media was once the 4th estate, a respected and honorable profession that most people depended upon for the information needed to make decisions from which groceries were on sale to which candidate for President or Prime Minister to choose. The expansion of corporate interests into buying up television, radio and print publications changed that. Disclaimers to the contrary, no broadcaster will think of offending the hand that feeds them. Slanted “news” has replaced objective and fair reporting and journalism. Matt Drudge and Breitbart forged the iron and set the bricks of the alternative media. A rebirth of investigative reporting, asking questions that would have you exiled from briefings of having your computer hacked is what is happening today. Yes there are aluminum foil conspiracy theorists, yes there are self-proclaimed prophets and end of the world forecasters, bunker and bug-out bag aficionados and hoard your gold, silver and shotgun-shell proclaimers. But the quality and reputability of many AM sources has placed the burden of proof on their product. The media personalities who dominate the mainstream media outlets are being exposed as actors and actresses, mouthpieces and frauds. The public is gradually turning away from show-biz to facts and proof. The tide has turned and the tsunami is unstoppable. Good news for Israel.

The number of Facebook Israel support pages increases day by day with friends/likes in the tens of thousands. Organizations like CUFI (Christians United for Israel) numbers in hundreds of thousands, and many are persons of considerable influence. Activists online who confront anti-Semitic and anti-Israel social media pages, YouTube videos and websites are increasingly active and forceful, even Facebook is paying attention to their own numbers. Passivity is passe’ and there is a no surrender attitude that means business. The MSM is slowly beginning to realize that their arrogance has done them in and justifiably so. NBC, MSNBC and CNN have seen drastic drops in viewership with the rise of AM, sponsors take note.

Just for numbers, the “likes” for Facebook pages for Israel support are high and growing. Americans Supporting Israel : 18,134. United with Israel: over 2 million. Friends of the IDF: 303,832. Messianic Christians and Jews: 12,822. CUFI (Christians United for Israel): 1,275,972. This is just the tip of a huge iceberg of support. Israel has firm supporters worldwide and national groups in many countries have pages. Each day these groups increase and share posts, news and comments.

Social media is being used by Israel’s enemies for sure but her friends vastly outnumber opponents. The battle goes on. The Bible has told us the certainty of the outcome and victory is assured.
