Σύμφωνα με σημερινή ανακοίνωση του Υπουργείου Παιδείας:

“Ο Υπουργός Παιδείας, Έρευνας και Θρησκευμάτων Κώστας Γαβρόγλου αναχώρησε σήμερα για την Κωνσταντινούπολη για την προγραμματισμένη – εδώ και καιρό – συνάντησή του με την Α.Θ.Π. τον Οικουμενικό Πατριάρχη κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίο.

Η συνάντηση θα γίνει αύριο το πρωί (10-11-2018) στην αίθουσα του Οικουμενικού Θρόνου στο Φανάρι.”

Παρά το γεγονός ότι η συνάντηση χαρακτηρίζεται “προγραμματισμένη εδώ και καιρό”, θεωρείται σίγουρο ότι το κύριο θέμα της συζήτησης θα είναι η “Συμφωνία” της Εκκλησίας της Ελλάδος με το Ελληνικό Κράτος, για την οποία δεν ενημερώθηκε το Οικουμενικό Πατριαρχείο, το οποίο έχει κανονική δικαιοδοσία στην ελληνική επικράτεια.

Σύμφωνα με δημοσιογραφικές πηγές, η πρώτη επίσημη αντίδραση από τον Οικουμενικό Πατριάρχη Βαρθολομαίο ήταν ότι κάλεσε σήμερα (9-11-2018) την Γενική Πρόξενο της Ελλάδας στην Πόλη, Γεωργία Σουλτανοπούλου, για να ζητήσει από την Αθήνα να ενημερωθεί για τη συμφωνία Ιερώνυμου – Τσίπρα.
