Why You Should Sell Everything Now And Live In A Tree
Futuristic treehouse is eco-friendly too
As what was once the proud nation of the United States of America slips into the status of a Third World nation, some economists are suggesting their wealthier clients consider moving themselves and their assets out of the country. What countries? The Czech Republic, Belize and Chile are among the top favorites.
But what if you can’t leave the country? What if you lost your job, don’t have any real assets to fall back on, or are simply reluctant to leave behind everything that’s familiar to you?
Then you might consider living in a tree. It’s no joke. It’s an option some are considering.
Think living in a tree is for the birds?

Devolution: Man came from trees and now returns to them
Paleo-evolutionists have been advocating a return to the trees for several decades. They cite several reasons besides the obvious economic advantages. After all, there’s not much overhead to living in a tree except the sky.

Could be a great idea. Yet I wonder…
How would we be charged property taxes? The house isn’t on the ground, so would the sq ft only be based on the base of the tree? That could be a great concept! Any thoughts on this???
Also, then there’s the problem of what happens to your house if the tree gets a disease and dies? Better yet, a strong wind comes thru and topples the tree over, or lightning hits it! Living in the south, that happens here all the time during our heavy rain periods.
Doesn’t matter how much structural support you give the house, in the end, you’re still in a tree and relying on mother nature to be kind. Just look around in the news, lately she’s not been so nice.
Think I’ll stick with a typical house and leave the treehouses to the kids to play in and dream their dreams!
I LOVE IT AND WOULD IF I COULD . I’VE SEEN HGTV TOURS OF TREE HOUSES, AND I ADORE THEM. BUT TREE HUGGERS SURELY WON’T LIKE THAT!!!!!! LOL
This concept still treats people as the problem. That is not true. The problem is government. As soon as they are dragged into the street and hung on lampposts then that’s when the nonsense will cease.
Bit harsh V
Too harsh?
Could it be that maybe our societal anti-violence programming is the prime factor in why we have totally lost control of this “government”?
Could it be that it’s not harsh enough?
Hang em from the trees (its more environmentally friendly and “natural”) lol
This would all cost so much money. And whats the difference between living in a tree and living on the ground?
I apologise for a little giggle.
The tree houses do look enchanting
One problem
Will they float?
A huge movement of the body of the oceans is expected when the planet slips further (she has already “lain” sideways somewhat – I know that is a broad statement, but there is ample evidence of the sun not being exactly where it should be)
So these tree homes need to be the “bubble” type.
I have seen there is a “round house” for the tree life, but do they float too?
It’s really a waste of an article as far as prepping is concerned.
Come on, some of you take this stuff way too seriously. Have a sense of fun and humor will ya? I just think having a tree house would be great fun. Some of them are really very nice,.
But as a prepper, I don’t think selling up and moving would be practical for us.
dont kid yourself those houses cost a fortune
just don’t use matches
I need to buy one wit ma simless money.
