Detroit News Op-Ed Proposes Adding Contraceptives To Drinking Water
An op-ed published by the Detroit News complains about the “breeding problem” in Michigan
From Dateline Zero
Adding contraceptives public drinking water has been proposed in an op-ed published by The Detroit News.
Nolan Finley, who wrote the piece, laments: “In the 1990s, Michigan considered penalizing women who had more babies while on welfare, but pro-life groups killed the idea out of fear it would lead to more abortions.”
Finley doesn’t elaborate much more than that, dedicating the body of his article instead to ranting about irresponsible parents having more and more kids, and about how the government uses tax dollars to pay them. (So use tax dollars to pay for mass-contraception?)
I am not a fluoride conspiracy theorist at all — but I oppose the program. The government should be addinganything to anyone‘s drinking water, for any reason. And flippant suggestions like the one that appeared in the Detroit News is why I have a problem with fluoridation programs.
Because fluoridation is now “ok,” why not introduce a population control program? Or use the drinking water system to make people happier? Or to improve cognitive abilities?
These are things that have all been proposed. Add to that the fact that we have a political class that thinks they can do what they want to members of the private class, and we have reason to be concerned.
