The Eternal COVID Pandemic

COVID seems to have become a way of life for the entire planet.  I am sure that none of us could have ever imagined that this issue would be with us so long.  I found it interesting that the first wave of COVID-19 response stopped so abruptly right before the Summer and then again started suddenly with a huge break out in India.  My intuition tells me that we may never be without some form or variant of COVID and many of us alive today will ever know what “normal” really means.  Right now, the World Health Organization is reporting some new variants that are presented as being serious.  The first one is the C.1.2 out of South Africa which is reported as having a high mutation rate while the vaccine is not effective against this strain.  Another new mutation that is being reported is the Mu variant that is prevalent out of South America.  The Mu variant is reported to be highly transmissible, but the vaccines should be beneficial against this strain. 

I did some research on the Centers for Disease Control website regarding new COVID variants.  What I found was so many variants that I did not want to try and list them in this article.  I am not a scientist, but I do have some experience with diseases, and I do realize that viruses will mutate and change to survive.  What is happening with COVID mutation seems to be no different than other viruses that we have been combatting over the years.  But what does seem different is how aggressive the campaigns are to get everyone in the world vaccinated with products that were reported to have been developed in about 1/10 of the normal time frame.  The pathway for a new vaccine to be developed, researched, studied, and have been run through scientific trials, animal trials, and human trials, is normally 10-15 years.  The Food and Drug Administration demands very rigorous study and research to be conducted before any new vaccine or drug is approved for routine use in humans.  So how or why did the vaccine get developed so quickly and how did the vaccine companies manage to skip all the rigorous studies and trials?  It could be that they had been developing this vaccine for a very long time, or they could have developed this vaccine for nefarious reasons. 

I am not sure if we will ever truly know how we ended up in the perpetual COVID spin, however, I don’t believe we will ever get off this hamster wheel.  I find it odd that the world is being locked down with the craziest mandates ever recorded in our modern history.  In my lifetime, I have not seen such worldwide attention being paid to a virus, and we have had some very invasive viruses in my lifetime.  I am not writing this article to point fingers, however, there are some very out of place things happening in relation to the COVID virus.  I can by no means confirm what the truth is, whether the COVID epidemic is a real thing, or if it is simply an opportunity to create more control on our populations.  However, there seems to be a lot of inconsistencies. 

Australia has become an extreme example of how bad things can get with this COVID issue.  I ran across an interesting article about what is going on in that country and could not believe what I found when I did my own research.  The idea of medial marital law is now being played in the very large country of Australia.  Here is some of the verbiage I found at https://qldtraffic.qld.gov.au/.

Following the announcement of a state-wide lockdown in New South Wales, restrictions are in place for NSW residents entering Queensland and Queensland residents travelling to the border zone.
Interstate Hotspot Advice:

• All of New South Wales from 1am AEST Friday 23 July 2021.
• All of Victoria from 1am AEST Saturday 17 July 2021.
• The Australian Capital Territory from 1am AEST Saturday 14 August 2021.
• The Jervis Bay Territory from 1am AEST Sunday 22 August 2021.
• Anyone who has been to a hotspot in the last 14 days or since their identified start date (whichever is shorter) will not be allowed to enter Queensland, unless they are a Queensland resident or are allowed to enter for a limited range of essential purposes. Anyone allowed to enter will need to complete 14 days mandatory quarantine.

Queensland Travel Declaration:

• You must complete a Queensland Travel Declaration to enter Queensland from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand
• Queensland has current contact tracing alerts and related public health advice.
• New requirements are in place for freight and logistics workers.

When you receive your Queensland Entry Pass via email, you must read all instructions and be able to access it at all times (either in a printed version or on an electronic device).

Like I mentioned earlier, I can not confirm what is really happening, but I can certainly ascertain that there are some very extreme measures being put in place.  I have been questioning whether the governments of the world are truly trying to mitigate a dangerous virus, or are they installing greater ways of imposing control over the populations?  I am certain though that COVID, in some form of the virus, will be with us for a very long time, perhaps for all our lifetimes.  Our normal has been completely changed and will likely never change back to what we thought was normal.
