This Miso Potato Chicken in Rice Cooker is one of my family’s favourite dishes. It’s a delicious and comfortable homey dish, full of flavour and nutrition using miso paste. Previously I used to cook this miso potato chicken in a wok and I had to keep check on the fire now and then to ensure that the sauce did not dry up. But since I discovered that the rice cooker is more user-friendly I cooked this in the rice cooker (as one pot dish). I cook this without adding any oil and it only takes 40 minutes to cook. I have added some cornstarch to marinate the chicken so that they won’t be too dry or tough after cooking. Great to serve this yummy dish with hot rice. Miso Potato Chicken in Rice Cooker
A delicious and comfortable homey dish, full of flavour and nutrition using miso paste. Great to serve this yummy dish with hot rice.

  • 700 g drumsticks (4 pcs) or half chicken
  • 450 g potato peel potato skins and cut small chunks
  • 1 large onion shredded
  • 6 stalks spring onion
  • 300 ml water
  • 1/2 tsp chicken powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp miso paste
  • dash of pepper
  • Chop chicken meat to pieces and marinate with seasoning and place inside the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Place shredded onion, spring onion into the rice cooker followed by potatoes and chicken pieces. Then pour in 300ml water.
  • Cover and press start to cook for about 20 minutes. Stir the chicken pieces and potatoes thoroughly and continue cooking for another 15-20 minutes till potatoes become tender (add a little more water if you find the sauce is too thick or salty).  Serve immediately with hot rice.

又是另一道快速简单好吃“一煲熟”电饭锅料理 ~ 味增马铃薯鸡,健康又美味,不用看火候,40分钟就搞定!最好下饭!


  • 700克 鸡腿 (4只)或半只鸡
  • 450克 马铃薯,去皮切成小块状
  • 1粒 大洋葱, 切条状
  • 6根 青葱
  • 300毫升 水


  • 1/2茶匙 鸡精粉
  • 1/2茶匙 盐
  • 1茶匙 糖
  • 2茶匙 玉米淀粉
  • 1茶匙 麻油
  • 1茶匙 酱请
  • 1汤匙 黑酱油
  • 1/2汤匙 耗油
  • 2汤匙 味增酱
  • 胡椒粉,适量


  1. 将鸡肉斩块后和调味味料混合均匀,放入冰箱冷藏腌制最少30分钟。
  2. 把洋葱和青葱放入电饭锅中,放上马铃薯和鸡块,加入300毫升水。
  3. 盖上锅盖,就按下煮饭档。。。开始煮了(就跟煮饭一样),煮约20分钟后,打开锅盖,拌匀鸡肉和马铃薯,再盖上盖继续煮15-20分钟至马铃薯变软(觉得酱汁太浓或太咸可以再加点水调开),即可马上食用。
