Zimbabwean Man Prosper Allegedly Shot Dead in Cape Town, South Africa
A Zimbabwean man known as Prosper has allegedly been shot in the head in Cape Town. The incident happened in Strand, and his car has been dumped in Makhaza. Prosper was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
The motive for the killing is not yet known. This has happened against the background of massive crime in South Africa and xenophobic violence against foreign nationals in this country.
There are small groups of South Africans with murderous intentions who hate foreigners, and they would want foreign nationals to be killed, whether they have documents or no documents. They are trying to incite the whole nation to eject foreign nationals.
Xenophobia and hatred are collapsing in South Africa. The ANC-led government has rejected them, and its law enforcement agencies are countering violence all around the nation.
The South African people have rejected xenophobia and violence too. South Africans have remained steadfast in their commitment to Ubuntu, hosting foreign nationals in their houses in different places and townships.
Relationships and marriages between South Africans and foreigners continue to happen. South African women continue to love foreign men. Business continues to be done.
We must just fight poverty and crime, which degrade lives. Xenophobia, Afrophobia, and hatred belong to the dark ages.
Documents or no documents, all human life is sacred. Mobs must not attack foreigners; it will not help alleviate unemployment and poverty.
Criminals must be put in jail; they are a menace to the common good.
Prosper’s tragedy is sad. We hope the police will get more leads and bring the culprits to justice.
