Secret Santa Buys Foreclosed Home, Gifts It Back To Former Family [Watch]

from True Activist:

The overjoyed homeowner still doesn’t know who gifted the house to his family.

While the amount of homes being foreclosed in the U.S. is decreasing, over 1,000,000 houses were filed in 2015 alone. The heartbreak a family can face when their home is taken from them is palpable, to say the least. Fortunately for a man named David Batts, the home he’s lived in since 1969 now belongs to him once again.

NBC4 Columbus reports that Batts had lived in the same house for decades, but fell behind on payments and eventually had the structure claimed by the bank. Shortly before Christmas, however, David opened his door to greet a Secret Santa who had more in his bag of goodies than just toys.

As the jolly man pulled toys and money out of the sack for Christmas gifts, he also surprised David by handing him the deed to the house. A shocked Batts couldn’t believe it. GoodNewsNetwork reports that he had intended to buy the house back further down the road and had no idea anyone would go out of their way to purchase his former home as a gift.

At present, it is unconfirmed whether or not the man who bought the house had anything to do with the surprise. What are your thoughts? Please comment below and share this news!
