Spiritual Struggles
The spiritual powers of evil are a powerful hierarchy of evil spirits, but they are not united. They do not like each other. Throughout history, they have fought with each other for control of the hierarchies of power. At different times, different strong spirits have been in ascendancy. Often two powerful spirits have operated alongside each other.
I have just published an article on Kingdom Watcher that describes some of their conflicts and struggles. This article is a bit speculative, as the Bible does not give the spiritual powers of evil glory by describing their activities in detail. It just gives odd hints of what is happening. I have tried to spell out some of these hints.

I think that it is beneficial to consider Man (Adam) being the focus of a lot of demonic activity. Since he is God’s creation and the apple of His eye, a demonic realm is bent on destroying what God considers precious. But also consider that Adam has had (and did have) authority to make a deal with the Devil. As with any contract there are two parties agreeing to perform certain duties. Hence based on the Devils dialog with Adam and Eve in the garden the Devil was redefining the meaning of “death” as well as “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”. With mans acceptance of the contract the Devil and his minions were also obligated to perform. Within this transaction the devil was committing himself to empower mankind’s many activities and interests in exchange for worship.
My point is simply that a demonic realm has no reason to do anything unless it includes messing with mankind. They are obligated to consider mans wishes based on a very old contract and our positioned around the earth based on mans many fallen interests. The two have a symbiotic relationship.
