ormer Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad’s desire is to make state government take an active role in a partnership in restoring the balance between bureaucracy and business.
During a campaign event at Southwestern Community College Thursday afternoon, the Republican nominee running for a return as governor of Iowa, proposed two concepts he would implement through legislation and executive order to increase jobs in the state.
More than 50 people attended the event to hear Branstad, 63, who is seeking his fifth-term in the November election.
The first proposal would be to sign an executive order requiring a small business and jobs impact statement on all regulations.
