Out of the Financial Devastation of the 90s,sharing my time creating music, better than in my drawer gathering dust

darkest before the dawn

this music came out of the financial crash of the mid- 90s, to stave off insanity i got lost into creating music instead and i had the most agonising and the most wonderful time of my entire life while the finances were going to hell,

Years later after illness, and a devastating blow to life as it was before this financial crash, i began to study how the world actually worked and why our life had been taken away, chiefly by the banks. Then came the journey of realisation of who ran the world and how destructive policies were practiced by the banking mafia to take people out, to destroy healthy businesses for the reason of repossession of assets.This set me off on the path of activism for awareness.

Luckily the dungeon dweller in his squat was pretty cheap. He lived on nicoteine and caffeine and spliffs. I never touched a spliff in my life i was never tempted, his name was John Coffee he lived and breathed music 24/7 the guy had music in his veins. He helped me to create the tracks from the bottom up, the beat, the melody, the vocal on top, it was truly fantastic! I would go along with my melody my lyric and we would just get a shape for the feel of the track and go from there. For John it was all a labour of pure love for the music. For me it was a release from the problems, it was also the very first time in my life i was able to lose myself in a creative process and not be practical. I had dreamed of being a singer back when I was 10 as a child, and when at school in Scotland, i had qualified for a specialist music course.

Unfortunately my family then moved to England to get into “ice-cream”. We were an italian immigrant family, and had been pretty poor up to that time.

I had some great guest vocals by Edwin Starr and George Williams on *no regrets* neighbours at the time and they did it for a laugh, I was truly honoured, now deceased RIP and a very dear memory. I began live performances and I was getting a good reception. One of my bestest moments was at an open-mic night in a small theatre. There was an in-house band and you had to take your music along and you would get about 10 minutes practice with them, before going on, so a bit nerve wracking for a beginner, I had never performed in my life. Anyhow, I got called up and I was to sing *no regrets* The band started playing, I got into the song and the most amazing thing started to happen When the chorus kicked in…”this love i give with no regrets” suddenly the whole theatre started joining in, and the band just kept the chorus going, everybody was singing along, harmonizing too.It was the single most magical moment of my life and I will never forget it. That night I knew how to fly. I didn’t come down for a few days.

Each of the tracks has a story behind it, I guess I will add those tales bit by bit, in the meantime i really hope you enjoy 1 or 2 of them, thank you all, peace & love
