Why Did Military Hide Malaysia Plane Radar Data 10 Days?

Thailand’s military spokesperson admitted on Tuesday that its radar detected a plane that might have been Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 just minutes after the jetliner’s communications were turned off, raising questions about countries withholding their defense information, even amidst humanitarian crises. At the time, Thailand’s military was participating with the U.S. military in a training exercise in the region where the “MH370 and its passengers “disappeared.”

Thailand’s military said its radar detected a plane that might have been Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 minutes after the Boeing 777′s communications were turned off and that the detection was not in Northern Thailand.

It said it did not share the information with Malaysia earlier was because it wasn’t specifically asked for it.

Thai air force spokesman Air Vice Marshal Montol Suchookorn described a twisting flight path that took the plane to the Strait of Malacca, which is where Malaysian radar tracked Flight 370 early March 8.

Montol said the Thai military doesn’t know whether what it  detected was the MH370.

Thailand’s failure to quickly share possible information about fate of the plane and the 239 people aboard it, might not substantially change what Malaysian officials know. It does, however, ”raise questions about the degree some countries are sharing their defense information, even in the name of an urgent and mind-bending aviation mystery,” says ABC News.

One of those countries might be the United States and its military, according to mounting evidence that the missing Malaysian Plane is a US-backed false flag. 

With only its own radar to try to help solve the mystery, it took Malaysia a week to confirm that Flight 370 had entered the Strait of Malacca, an important detail that led to changing the enitre search strategy.

Asked why it took so long to release the information, Montol responded, “Because we did not pay any attention to it.

“The Royal Thai Air Force only looks after any threats against our country, so anything that did not look like a threat to us, we simply look at it without taking actions.”

Malaysia government officials say they did ask the Thai government for radar data and it refrained until asked a second time.

Not a normal signal, plane flew opposite to MH370 

Thai military radar “was able to detect a signal, which was not a normal signal, of a plane flying in the direction opposite from the MH370 plane,” back toward Kuala Lumpur.

The plane later turned right, toward Butterworth, a Malaysian city along the Strait of Malacca, according to the Thai military that also revealed that the radar signal was infrequent and did not include any data such as the flight number.

Thai Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong told reporters Tuesday that it was not the country’s northern radar that detected the odd infrequent signal.

If the plane did land in or near Thailand, those in control of it had 10 days out of sight for their mission.
