The Enchanted Cupboard
The Enchanted Cupboard is one of my favorite Etsy Shops! I stumbled on it over three years ago as I was seeking out natural wooden toys that fell in line with the Waldorf style of play. I immediately fell in love with the shop and everything in it!

 Award winning artist Beccijo is the brilliant mind behind everything you see in the shop. She is amazingly talented, extremely creative, and a beautiful person inside and out! Beccijo is someone I love supporting and it makes me feel good knowing that I am helping her and her family (since even her children help in her shop) when I purchase something from her shop. She is a conscious parent who lives a very mindful life.
Everything I own from The Enchanted Cupboard is carefully crafted. I know it will withstand years and years of use! It is beautifully painted with exquisite detail. Seriously. Think micro-detail here. I have no idea how Beccijo does this! Only all natural materials are used that avoid any of the lead-based or other toxic materials that you often risk when purchasing mass produced items which frequently come from less regulated overseas suppliers.
One thing I love about this shop is that materials can be customized to look like you or your family. How cool is that? In addition, you can ask Beccijo to customize anything in the shop. She can pretty much make you an entire matching scene filled with whatever your heart desires!
What Can You Find At The Enchanted Cupboard?

The Enchanted Cupboard is a wonderful mix of handmade items that are truly part of Beccijo’s soul. You will find it full of wonderful wooden toys, custom wedding cake toppers, and a few enchanting things for the young at heart. She specializes in wooden dolls and playsets that work wonderfully with Waldorf nature tables. Beccijo has been developing wonderful educational toys that inspire learning while children are having fun. She also makes custom family dolls and wedding cake toppers that are lovingly painted to look like the people who will receive them. As if this is not enough, The Enchanted Cupboard is also filled with:

So What Exactly Do I Own From The Enchanted Cupboard?
Honestly, it would be easier to tell you what I don’t own! No, I’m serious. Ok…so maybe I don’t own that much from The Enchanted Cupboard but I do own a lot!

Our nature table is adorned with Beccijo’s wooden trees. We have various trees and shrubs for all seasons. My personal favorites are her fall collection as well as the springtime Cherry Blossom trees. The colors are so vivid and the detail level in the painting is unreal! Tiny really loves the springtime mushrooms! They are gorgeous!

My daughter also really enjoys the landscape playsilks we have purchased from The Enchanted Cupboard. Typically we use these on the nature table but Tiny has found various ways of incorporating them into her play. They have become an important part of all kinds of ocean scenes, farm scenes, jungle scenes, and picnics! These playsilks really are gorgeous. The colors are so rich!
Beccijo was kind enough to send me one of her wooden educational toys to review since this was actually something we did not have in our collected. We received the Counting Bees and Bugs. Beccijo describes it as: “This delightful assortment of bees and ladybugs are the perfect tool for teaching numbers and patterns. The ladybugs have different numbers of dots and the bees stripes. Each bug has a number on the bottom too. Count to 10 or build buggy patterns.”

While Tiny is able to count (somewhat), I have not purposefully introduced her to numbers, per the Waldorf methodology. However, she does have an interest and I thought this would be the perfect resource to subtly help Tiny along in her counting. The Counting Bugs are very cute and are already a hit with Tiny. Of course, she has her own ideas about how to use them which is just fine. I continue to incorporate the counting aspect into play and just the other day Tiny actually counted the lines on one of the bees. Very exciting for her…a little depressing for me. I mean, it is always bittersweet watching your wee one grow and learn!

I recently ordered some wonderful items that I am holding on to until Tiny’s 4th birthday in March. I intend on getting her some sort of dollhouse or treehouse and thanks to Beccijo’s talents, I have now outfitted it with some great furniture and other miniature items.
