Week 1 – 2013 Wide Receivers (WR) Fantasy Football Rankings
Photo By: Stew Milne / USA TODAY Sports
Tom Brady had no trouble finding his new slot receiver in Danny Amendola in the preseason and he will feed him the rock week one. While Buffalo should have a bright future with E.J. Manuel as the quarterback their secondary is a little beatup at the moment and we should expect Brady to make them pay.
Amendola will be a top fifteen receiver weekly, even outside of PPR leagues as long as he’s on the field. That’s been a problem for the former Ram receiver but he’s coming into the season healthy and fantasy owners should view him as a solid WR1 option this week.
Another receiver we need to keep an eye on and is also a sneaky flex play start is rookie Kenbrell Tompkins. We watched Thompkins blowup in the preseason and he’s clearly earned the trust of Brady.
As long as Thompkins is in the spot Brady expects him to be in when he’s ready to throw the football, this young receiver has a chance to have a bright career, and a breakout rookie season.
