The Daily Dab: A Quick Hit On Cannabis Stocks 01/07/14

The cannabis sector soared spectacularly again, with sixteen stocks trading at least $1mm in volume and six stocks more than doubling:

Creative Edge Nutrition (FITX), which disclosed  information about the funding of its Canadian grow facility, tripled in price on more than 10X normal volume.  Cannabis Sativa (CBDS) traded to another new high after adding Steve Kubby as its CEO and acquiring his patent-pending marijuana strain, CTA.  FusionPharm (FSPM) almost tripled after CEO Scott Dittman appeared on iCannabisRadio on Monday.  Greengro Technologies posted a multi-year high on record volume.  AVT, Inc. (AVTC) soared following a press release from Medbox detailed future business.  Tranzbyte (ERBB) traded to levels not seen since April on volume that exceeded 10X the average over the past month.  Medbox (MDBX) continued its advance following positive comments on CNBC following CEO Bedrick’s appearance.  Advanced Cannabis Solutions (CANN) posted a new high on record volume.  CEO Frichtel shared a great perspective last month.  

Several stocks failed to participate, including Medical Marijuana, Inc. (MJNA), mCig (MCIG),  GW Pharma (GWPH), which is selling up to 2.3mm shares in the near future, and GrowLife (PHOT).  The only large decliner was MediSwipe (MWIP).
