Bam Bam Resources says drilling expands oxide copper, gold and silver zones at Majuba Hill

Bam Bam Resources Corp (CSE:BBR) (OTCPINK:NPEZD) revealed Monday that results from a reverse circulation (RC) drill program showed “significant” copper, silver, and gold values at the company’s flagship Majuba Hill property, in Nevada.

The Vancouver-based company, which is focused on acquiring copper and copper/gold assets, said the RC holes were drilled to extend the known oxide copper mineralization that occurs around the historic underground workings.

When combined with previously reported Bam Bam drill results and historic drilling, the new copper, silver, and gold assays indicate a new oxide discovery zone and a new sulfide discovery zone, it added.

Looking at the results, the MHB-3 drill hole showed 0.68% copper and 28.9 parts per million (ppm) silver at 155 feet. Meanwhile, drill hole MHB-4 posted 0.45% copper and 8.2 ppm silver at 45 feet and 8.2 ppm silver from 775-820 feet.

Additionally, MHB-4 intersected 220 feet at 0.34 ppm silver from 600 to 820 feet. This hole ended in azurite and malachite oxide copper mineralization with the last interval containing 5 feet at 0.79% copper from 815-to-820 feet.

The MHB-5 hole results showed 0.29% copper and 10 ppm silver from 310 feet, while MHB-6 showed 0.72% copper and 19.8 ppm silver at 50 feet.

In a statement, Bam Bam Resources CEO David Greenway said: “I am excited about these results. These holes stepped out a long way to the east and show the continuity of copper and silver mineralization across a width of over 900 meters. I am pleased that we are seeing the gold assay results showing the important gold endowment at Majuba.”

He added: “Because the mineralization outcrops and the drilled mineralization width is still open to the east and west, I believe Majuba is well on the way to becoming an important copper, silver, and gold porphyry discovery.”

The RC drill program was designed to extend the known oxide mineralization eastward into the Majuba Extension Zone. Other historic drill holes were collared at sites that are 500 to 800 feet below the crest of the ridge and 50 to 800 feet below copper oxide zones unearthed during drill site access-road construction. These historic core holes had multiple intervals of oxide and sulfide copper, said the company, including MG1703 with 66.9 feet at 0.71% copper and 28.9 ppm silver from 337.7 to 404.6 feet.

Copper oxide with gold and silver mineralization at the surface is within the quartz-sericite-pyrite zone. Oxidation at Majuba extends as deep as 800 feet, said the company.
