Gatling Exploration poised for drilling at Kir Vit prospect in third quarter after receiving permit

Gatling Exploration Inc (CVE:GTR) (OTCQB:GATGF) (FRA:G28A) revealed it had received a drilling permit for its Kir Vit prospect at the flagship Larder gold project in Ontario and aims to begin exploring there in 3Q 2021.

The firm also said it had acquired a 25% interest, by issuing 150,000 shares to the vendor, certain leases on the western portion of Larder known as the Swansea zone, which means it now holds a 100% interest in all leases and claims across the property.

Kir Vit lies six kilometres north of  the three high-grade gold deposits Fernland, Cheminis and Bear at Larder, and since 2019, three new gold discoveries have been made there.

Drilling in the third quarter will focus on newly discovered high-grade, gold shear zones, which have not been recorded in historical literature on the property, and are open in all directions.

These zones strike NE-SW and steeply dip to the NW and lie around  450 metres (m) away from  a 2019 drillhole, which intersected 5.9 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 3m within intrusion style gold mineralization.

Two drill rigs are currently deployed at Larder’s three main high-grade gold deposits and in early 3Q, one of them will be assigned to the Kir Vit prospect.

Meanwhile, at the Swansea zone in the 1980s, drilling hit 4 g/t of gold over 6.1m, including 10 g/t of the yellow metal over 1.5m, noted Gatling.

Around 19,000m of historic drilling has been completed on the Swansea zone compared to the eastern portion of the Larder project has seen over 250,000m of drilling at the three high-grade gold deposits.

Gatling also highlighted that the Swansea zone had a strike length of around four kilometres, similar to the three high-grade gold deposits at the east of the Larder project.
