The IPO Buzz: Haymaker Acquisition V (HYACU) Raises $250 Million
West Palm Beach, Florida-based Haymaker Acquisition V (HYACU) priced its SPAC IPO in sync with the terms in its prospectus – 25 million units at $10.00 each – and raised $250 million on Wednesday night, Sept. 16, 2026. Haymaker Acquisition V became the first IPO to get priced after the Federal Reserve raised its benchmark fed funds rate by 25 basis points on Wednesday afternoon – the first rate increase in three years.
On Thursday, Sept. 17, Haymaker Acquisition Corp. V (HYACU) is expected to start trading on the New York Stock Exchange. In the prospectus, Haymaker Acquisition V said each unit consists of one share and one-third (1/3rd) of one redeemable warrant.
Cantor and William Blair served as joint book-runners. Roth Capital Partners acted as the co-manager.
Haymaker Acquisition Corp. V intends to acquire and operate a business in the industrial, consumer or consumer-related products and services industries, according to the prospectus.
Christopher Bradley has served as Haymaker Acquisition V’s CEO, CFO and chairman of the board since November 2025. He is a managing director at Mistral Equity Partners, which he joined in 2008.
