Eminent Gold Identifies Geological Link to Major Gold District, Expands Claims Ahead of Drilling

Eminent Gold Corporation (EMNT:TSXV; EMGDF:OTCQB; 7AB:FSE) reported new geological findings at its Celts project in Nevada, including an age-dating result that matched the timing of gold mineralization at AngloGold Ashanti Plc.’s (AU:NYSE; ANG:JSE) Arthur Project, located approximately 100 kilometers away along the same structural trend.

In an October 15 news release, the company said an alunite sample from Celts returned an age of 11.73 ± 0.12 million years, consistent with the age of the host volcanic rocks at the property and gold mineralization at the Silicon deposit, part of the Arthur Project.

The Arthur Project has a reported mineral endowment of approximately 15.7 million ounces of gold. According to Eminent, younger gold systems of this age in the district have tended to form larger, bulk-mineable deposits, while older systems, including Goldfield and Tonopah, were typically associated with high-grade underground vein mining.

The company described Celts as one of the few remaining untested gold systems of this age in the district. The age-dating result was preliminary and unpublished, with the formal laboratory report still pending.

Eminent also completed geological mapping and structural analysis that identified priority fault targets at Celts. The work showed that the historic Gold Button Mine sits along a bend in a major northwest-trending fault, with stress apparently transferred to the north-south Cool Boy fault identified during earlier geophysical work.

According to the company, the fault geometry created a half-graben, a down-dropped block where hydrothermal fluids can collect. Eminent considers this structural setting favorable for gold mineralization and consistent with geological features associated with the Arthur Project.

New surface sampling returned gold values of up to 1.5 grams per tonne (g/t) from newly sampled areas outside the historic mine dumps and closer to its permitted drillholes along the Cool Boy fault, as well as at a newly discovered zone of silica veining and breccia west of Nancy Donaldson.

Previously reported samples collected by an earlier operator from the historic Gold Button mine dump returned values of up to 33 g/t gold. Eminent noted that those historical samples had not been independently verified by the company. Rock-chip samples are selective and may not represent average grades or mineralization continuity.

Following the mapping and sampling work, Eminent more than doubled its Celts claim package to 1,020 hectares ahead of its initial drilling program.

“The age dating is a key technical result. It shows Celts was active during the same event that formed the major gold system at the Arthur Project,” said Justin Milliard, PhD, Eminent’s Vice President of Exploration, in the company news release.

“Combined with the opening we have mapped along a major regional fault, this gives us a stronger geological basis to test both the fault-hosted and layer-hosted targets with our upcoming drill program.”

The company outlined a five-hole program totaling approximately 2,500 meters. Two holes are planned to test the Cool Boy fault beneath the rhyolite dome, while three additional holes are designed to investigate layer-hosted gold mineralization within the half-graben near the Gold Button Mine.

The first two holes have received permits, while the remaining three are subject to permitting approval and financing.

Gold Recovers as Inflation Data, Treasury Yields, and Federal Reserve Policy Influence Prices

According to a Reuters report on October 14, spot gold had fallen 1.5% to its lowest level since October 7 after stronger-than-expected U.S. inflation data increased expectations for further interest rate hikes. The U.S. dollar index advanced 0.4%, while the yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note also increased.

The decline followed the release of September’s Consumer Price Index, which rose 0.6% after a 0.4% increase in August. The figures shifted market expectations for Federal Reserve policy, with traders assigning approximately a 35% probability to an October rate increase, compared with 22% before the inflation report.

David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures, connected the market reaction to expectations for tighter monetary policy. “At this point, it portends that the Fed is more likely to raise interest rates,” Meger told Reuters. “As a result, we’ve seen the dollar rise and pressure added to the gold market,” he added.

The relationship between interest rates and gold remained an important consideration. Although bullion had traditionally been viewed as protection against inflation, rising interest rates increased the relative attractiveness of interest-bearing assets because gold itself generated no yield.

Carsten Menke, meanwhile, pointed to central bank purchases and U.S. government borrowing as longer-term considerations for the precious metal. “In the longer term, gold should again benefit from continued strong central-bank buying and renewed concerns over U.S. debt and its rising interest burden,” Menke said.

The market reversed direction on October 15 as the dollar weakened and bond yields declined. In a separate Reuters report, bullion gained more than 1%, supported by a 0.5% decline in the dollar and a retreat in the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield to a three-week low.

Ole Hansen, head of commodity strategy at Saxo Bank, described the recovery as a response to changing financial conditions while cautioning that market uncertainty persisted. “Falling real yields and resilient investment demand help gold recover from its post-CPI selloff, but the technical outlook remains fragile,” Hansen told Reuters.

Investors also awaited additional U.S. economic releases, including the Producer Price Index and retail sales data, for further indications of inflationary pressures. Rhona O’Connell, head of market analysis at Stone X, identified producer inflation as another factor that could influence bond yields.

“If the PPI comes in as expected, which is 5.4% year on year, then that pattern will be continued. So you would expect bond yields to rise again. We’re just going to have to watch it very carefully,” O’Connell said.

The Reuters report placed the market-implied probability of an October interest rate increase at approximately 29%, down from the 35% cited in the earlier report but above the 22% recorded before the consumer inflation figures. Federal Reserve officials also indicated that they had additional time to evaluate economic developments before deciding on further policy changes.

Separately, Trading Economics reported on October 15 that gold had climbed toward US$4,150 per ounce as crude oil prices retreated following five consecutive days of gains. The platform recorded gold at US$4,147.85 per troy ounce, representing a daily increase of 1.03%. Despite the recovery, prices remained 2.82% lower over the preceding month and 4.27% below their level one year earlier.

Trading Economics attributed the rebound partly to a weaker U.S. dollar and declining Treasury yields, while identifying continued expectations for Federal Reserve tightening as a factor affecting investor sentiment.

The platform also reported that annual U.S. inflation reached 3.7% in September, its highest reading in four months and above the 3.6% expected by economists. Higher energy costs accounted for much of the increase.

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Austan Goolsbee characterized the inflation data as “discouraging,” according to Trading Economics. San Francisco Federal Reserve President Mary Daly also indicated that additional short-term interest rate increases could be necessary, although she did not see an immediate need for action at the October meeting.

Beyond monetary policy, Trading Economics identified several sources of physical and financial demand for gold. Jewelry represented the largest component of global consumption, followed by investment and industrial applications. The metal was traded primarily through the London over-the-counter market and major futures exchanges, where standard gold futures contracts typically represented 100 troy ounces.

Three Nevada Projects Outline Next Exploration Programs

Beyond the latest Celts results, Eminent Gold’s October 1 investor presentation outlined exploration activities across its three Nevada properties: Celts, Hot Springs Range, and Gilbert South. The programs included initial drilling, follow-up exploration, geophysical targeting, and permitting work.

At Celts, the company outlined a two-phase drilling strategy based on geological models associated with the Silicon and Merlin deposits at AngloGold Ashanti’s Arthur Project. The first phase was designed to test fault-hosted mineralization analogous to Silicon, while the second phase would investigate layer-hosted targets comparable to Merlin.

The presentation indicates that the company is aiming to commence its maiden Celts drilling program in the fourth quarter of 2026. The company’s subsequent October 15 news release specified five planned holes totaling approximately 2,500 meters, with the first two already permitted and the remaining three subject to permitting and financing.

At the Hot Springs Range Project (HSRP), located approximately 15 kilometers from the Getchell Trend, Eminent outlined additional drilling at its Otis target. The company described a 10-kilometer exploration corridor containing two northeast-trending structural zones, with Otis extending approximately six kilometers and Eden covering another four kilometers.

At Otis, previous drilling intersected 9.2 meters grading 3.2 g/t gold in hole HSC005 along the Little Humboldt fault. Another hole, HSR2601, returned 57.9 meters grading 0.3 g/t gold, ending in 3.0 meters grading 2.1 g/t gold.

The company identified oxide gold mineralization associated with multiple faults across a footprint extending hundreds of meters. Its presentation described mineralization as open at depth and along strike, with geological and alteration patterns directing further exploration toward the northeast.

The next Otis work included receiving and evaluating reverse-circulation drilling assays, conducting deeper core drilling through selected fault intersections, and testing additional faults previously identified through geophysical surveys.

Eminent also identified strengthening clay alteration down-dip and toward the Little Humboldt fault. Follow-up core drilling was planned to investigate that deeper structural interval, including areas beyond the shallow mineralization previously tested.

At Eden, approximately 10 kilometers north of Otis, the company outlined an initial drilling program targeting structures associated with a three-kilometer gold-in-soil anomaly. Eminent reported that the target exhibited a structural setting similar to Otis, with surface geochemistry identifying gold and associated pathfinder elements along major faults.

The Eden program included five initial holes designed to test interpreted feeder faults beneath the surface geochemical anomalies. The company’s presentation identified the Spring City and Crossroads fault structures among the geological features incorporated into its drill-targeting work.

Eminent’s broader Hot Springs Range plans also included obtaining a Plan of Operations permit to provide access to additional exploration targets, including Sitka. The company identified Sitka as part of the same district-scale structural corridor being evaluated at Otis and Eden.

At Gilbert South, located approximately 42 kilometers west of Tonopah in Nevada’s Walker Lane trend, Eminent outlined a drilling program for 2027. The surface work on the property is complete, and the property will be drill-ready once the existing permit is renewed.

The Gilbert South project contains gold-bearing vein corridors extending for several kilometers at the surface. Historical drilling has been relatively shallow and has not tested many of the sites where surface grab samples returned values of up to 143 g/t gold. [OWNERSHIP_CHART-11233]

Eminent’s proposed drilling at Gilbert South was directed toward a deeper feeder zone targeted between 200-400 meters below surface, which the company described as having not previously been drilled. The presentation identified this deeper zone as the principal target beneath the property’s established surface vein system.

The three project programs formed the exploration activities described in Eminent’s October 1 presentation, with drilling and related technical work outlined at Celts and Hot Springs Range, and a separate 2027 drilling program identified for Gilbert South.
