Important Health Care Tips during Pregnancy

Having a new member of the family is another blessing and it should be thanked for that is why it should be taken care of. It is considered a blessing because some couples are having difficulty of having one. So, if you have a baby or soon to have, you are so lucky enough and therefore, give your best to give you and your baby the best health as possible.

Being pregnant is the most crucial part of life of the women because it can put them in danger and worst to death. That is mainly why they need to take care of their health during this stage. If before they don’t care about their health, now they have to be very cautious or else her life and her baby’s life is at stake.

There are a lot of things to be taken care of during this phase of life and in this article, it will be discussed one by one in order for mothers to be aware.

Here are those:

  • Have a regular checkup or pre-natal check ups

As soon as you have a hint that you are pregnant, consult immediately to your physician and have a confirmatory test. If positive, have a regular pre-natal check ups to check your baby’s condition during pregnancy. This is very important in order for you to track your baby’s health.

On your first 6Th to 8Th Week, your physician will check if how many weeks you are pregnant and will determine your estimated delivery date. After checking that everything is well, be guided of this pre-natal check ups schedule:

-          Have a prenatal check-up every 4 weeks up to your 28Th Weeks of pregnancy

-          Go back again to your physician for another check up every 3 weeks until 38Th Weeks of pregnancy

-          If everything is good and the baby is healthy with no complications, have  twice a month up to delivery time

This schedule is just for a normal and healthy condition. If you are experiencing any, go immediately to your physician.

  • Have a balanced diet

Balanced because you are feeding two humans in one body. So you have to eat for two peoples and it should be a balanced diet consist of carbohydrates, proteins, and minimal fat. Make sure also that you eat foods high in vitamins and minerals such as fruits and vegetables.

Avoid in this time unhealthy food such as junk foods, canned goods, too much sweets and salt, preservatives, and alcohol.

  • Exercise regularly

It doesn’t mean that you are pregnant, you cannot have exercise already. In fact, you really need this at this time. There is a good exercise program for pregnant women that will help them increase their endurance during this stage. This exercise will also be beneficial during their labor time. Breathing exercises are also part of their program for a practice during their labor. The good thing about this program is that their husband could also participate in order for them to spend time with their wife and baby as well.

  • Avoid cigarettes and alcoholic drinks

Vices should be immediately stopped during this time because it is very harmful to the health of both the baby and the mother. It could result to mental retardation, low birth weight and delayed growth for your babies.
