In 2009, a friend of mine went to visit her mother suffering from Alzheimer’s (at the time the person wasn’t in a senior’s home), and she INADVERTENTLY drank water from a Britta filter jug that hadn’t been changed from god only new how long. First thing she realized was that not only was the water bad but at the bottom of the jug there was a film of BLACK MOLD.
She fell sick 6 hours or so later and spent the whole week sick like a dog. She finally had to have ANTIBIOTICS & CODEINE tablets for the cough to get rid of the iinfection. LUCKILY SHE WASN’T REALLY ALLERGIC ‘CAUSE SHE COULD HAVE DIED.
Oh and by the way, that’s why it’s important to take down walls and redo basement when your home has been FLOODED… ’cause mold sets in REALLY FAST.

Toxic mold is very scary. I try to keep my house clean, so I clean it regularly. In fact, I’m so worried about the possibility of mold that I found a company that provides removal mold remediation services in advance. I think it never hurts to have contacts of such specialists just in case. I also want to contact them for a mold testing service to make sure there is or is no mold.
