OK, so now the truth.

About what you might ask. What indeed! 

Let me tell you about my Jury experience so far.

First: they provided what they describe as breakfast:

Yes, my Friends and Family this is an actual photo of what they brought in for us this morning. Not your typical tray of doughnuts, but just as disgusting.

Then later on in the day they brought some snacks. Sorry, I was not able to get a snapshot, but it was an equally disgusting box of cookies.

They did not bother to ask if anyone had any dietary requirements. They assume that everyone eats S.A.D. Yes, sad indeed!!!

I have been taking tuna fish smothered in hard boiled eggs and some pork skins. We have a refrigerator in the room that the jury meets in the morning and on our breaks. As of today we are in that room for deliberation. We could not agree on a verdict, so we have to go back tomorrow.

Actually the case is real clear, but some of the other jurists are letting their personal feelings get in the way instead of just looking at the facts as instructed by the judge. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. 

I can’t discuss the case and I probably won’t even when it’s over. Why? Because I find it in bad taste.

What’s the moral of the story you may ask:

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Years ago when I was on a jury they brought in crap to eat and today the same thing. No matter how advance we become in nutrition the science goes by the wayside by institutions stuck in the past.

I did not expect anything different and I was not disappointed. Well, maybe a little to tell you the truth.

You gotta love it lol!!! I actually discussed my way of eating to the others on the jury and got some really positive responses. Most agreed at least that eating low carb is healthy. Yet, the same ones saying that had no problem gobbling down the breakfast tray and the cookies. Good Grief!!!
