Now that you are updated, take a look at this other world map of Ebola cases (below):

Pretty scary, huh?  Do you get a sense graphically of the worldwide panic described verbally by thousands of Ebola pandemic articles on this website and others across the internet?

First, notice that the entire UNITED STATES including a jumbo distorted Alaska is fully colored in ORANGE. 

Translation: The entire country is highlighted because two [count 'em, two] imported vaccinated cases were flown into Atlanta and are showing marked daily improvements at Emory Univ. Hospital.

Next, the RED highlighting the entire African/Middle Eastern countries of NIGERIA and SAUDI ARABIA.  This indicates thats one single person who flew in from west Africa has subsequently died in Saudi Arabia and another health worker (doctor) who flew to Lagos, Nigeria also died.

Notice also that ALL of SPAIN is ORANGE like the United States.  This is because a Spanish priest who contracted Ebola in Monrovia, Liberia was relocated back to Madrid, Spain.  Sadly Spain must convert to all Red also because news has come that the padre has died also.

Please notice also that all of France and Great Britain (UK) are in YELLOW.  This is because they have had a ‘scare.’  We could also include the US,Thailand, and the Philippines in with these.

Translation: A few suspected cases showing severe flu-like symptoms tested NEGATIVE for Ebola.

Finally, this last map view sheds needed light upon the crux of the ‘global Ebola pandemic’ which is reputedly panicking the world:

The tiny west African countries of Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia (about the combined size of the US states of Georgia and Florida) are in all Red. 

This indicates that portions of these three countries with combined population of over 12 million people have had 1700+ confirmed, reported, or suspected cases, accounting for 900+ deaths in the current Ebola outbreak.

That’s 0.0077% of the entire populations of Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia, or 77/10,000ths of 1 perfect of the people in these three small countries.

That’s 77 people out of every ONE MILLION inhabitants.  Get the picture?

Lastly, over the past four decades these countries and a few others in central Africa (Rep. of Congo, Sudan, Gabon, Uganda) have been responsible for 100% of all Ebola deaths.

In conclusion, it is clear that maps ‘are the darnedest things,’ but very useful tools for conveying your intended message, whether true or absolutely and insidiously false.
