Working to stop mass and endless immigration

The Federation for American Immigration Reform spent a great deal of time in 2012 to educate the American people as to the short and long term impacts of massive and unending immigration into the United States.  Most Americans do not realize that Congress imports over 100,000 legal immigrants into the USA every 30 days without pause.

These are the true stakeholders, yet their concerns are often neglected in news stories that focus on the needs of one arriving immigrant to the exclusion of all others.

“Few public policy organizations operate autonomously, free from the financial strings of political parties or business interests. FAIR, however, is one such group. Our constituency is the American public, and no one but. If your reporting involves getting the public’s perspective, ask us. That’s who we passionately serve.”

The Truth Shall Set You Free – Or at Least Give You a More Factual Story

“President Obama and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have been bending the facts on immigration enforcement with the expectation that what they say simply gets printed without scrutiny,” said Stein. “Perhaps you’ve noticed, as have we, that virtually every DHS press release detailing major changes in immigration policy appears late Friday afternoon before a long weekend, after most reporters have left the building. We find that disturbing and so should you.

“Case in point: The past Friday before Christmas, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released year-end figures claiming another year of record deportations. However, ICE and DHS have consistently fudged deportation numbers and other enforcement metrics by redefining terms and methodology. Moreover, they failed to note that deportations for all but the most violent criminal aliens are down, way down.

“Call us next time. FAIR is the immigration policy watchdog and accounting for the facts is something we do very well.”
