“Tio Sam” of Los Damasos Detained in Sonora

Samuel “N”, alias “Uncle Sam”, alleged leader of a gang of kidnappers and murderers of Baja California Sur, was arrested in this city by elements of the Ministerial Agency for Criminal Investigation (AMIC), in coordination with members of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena).

In a statement, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) of Sonora reported that “Uncle Sam” or “El Sammy”, 41, was required by the Attorney General of BCS, since he was a fugitive since April this year.

He noted that after his arrest, Samuel “N” was transferred by air under a strong security device, to La Paz, BCS, where he is required by a judge.

The Sonoran Prosecutor’s Office explained that staff of the North Zone Delegation, of the State Attorney General’s Office, attended the job of collaboration and implemented a search operation for Samuel “N”.

Samuel “N” was transferred by air under a strong security to La Paz, BCS, where he is required by a judge. He is still considered the armed “jefe de sicarios” of Los Damasos, the armed wing of the Sinaloa Cartel, that wreaked havoc for control of the plaza in BCS . ( think “La China”)

He was located in the Alamos neighborhood on Friday, August 9, at 12:51 pm, by AMIC elements and members of the Third Regiment of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena).

They explained that the arrest warrant issued by the Court of La Paz, Baja California Sur, was now fulfilled for the crimes of homicide and attempted murder.

Samuel “N” is related to homicides that took place in the south of the state in order to exercise dominance in the narcotics trade.

Investigations by the Attorney General’s Office of BCS link him to the murder of Jorge Luis “N.” on April 4, when César Iván “N” was also injured.

He is the brother of Daniel “N.”, “El Colores”, appointed as head of the same sector and intellectual author in several homicides, including those of two agents of the Ministerial Police in Los Cabos; He was arrested in September 2018, in Sinaloa and transferred to Cereso de Guanajuato.

It should be noted that some versions indicate that “El Tío Sam” or “El Sammy” is the alleged armed strong man of the band “Los Dámaso”, cell of the Sinaloa Cartel in BCS.
