RTPP (BIN – IC): RTPP contract workers intensfied their agitation on day 11 by holding the half-naked rally from colony main gate to power house main gate on Friday. The slogan for the fulfilment of first assurance given by the CM in his padayatra has been resounded during the rally. They urged the CM to regularize them implementing the same GO 163 by which 39 workers have been regularized. They protested by holding the placards of YS Jagan’s promise made during his padayatra.
Speaking on the occasion of the half-naked rally led by the JAC, the workers said…that regularization is our legitimate right. It was assured by the CM when he was in the opposition. Recently a GO 163 has been issued and 39 workers have been regularized who belong to Pulivendula. We are urging the government to implement the same even for us and fulfill the first assurance. Both government and management are silent on our legitimate right. Their apathy towards regularization and delay in the fulfilment of first assurance is raising concerns among the workers. We are urging the government to implement the same GO 163 even for us and fulfill the first assurance, workers emphasized their demand.
Many employees’ unions expressed their solidarity for the workers’ agitation. They urged the management to resolve the issue by holding immediate discussions. If the delay continues, they assured that they would stand by the workers in their fight for the regularization until it is resolved.
