Zimbabwean woman set alight in Spar South Africa after stealing food worth R25
This is an act of cruelty. These spar workers were behaving like animals. If someone steals you hand over the person to the police you don’t burn someone because he has stolen packet of meat which worthy R25.
I welcome the decision made by South African Police to arrest the culprits and Spar to suspend them from work.
This was theft by a person who is hungry. It was not for a financial benefit but for her to eat with her children. We should show mercy.
Our society is unnecessarily cruel and violent. This violence affects us and it affects our children as well as they always quietly watch how we behave.
Those who don’t have please do not steal try to ask you will always find someone who will open his/her heart to you.
We don’t want barbarism and sadism. Hands off poor and vulnerable people. God is their maker.
