*Dr. Reiner Fuellmich on the phone, again: update on courts, appeals and other proceedings*

From 17 October 2025, phone call communications by German lawyer Reiner Fuellmich was severely restricted by the prison of Bremervörde.

The prison in turn was obeying orders from Public Prosecution Office of Göttingen, who had received complaints by Dr Justus Hoffmann, one of the three lawyers* who reported Reiner Fuellmich to the authorities.

For seven months, Fuellmich could only place two monitored phone calls of twenty minutes each, per week. He dedicated them to his wife Inka. Phone calls to his lawyers remained unrestricted.

On June 10th, I interviewed Reiner by telephone, from the Netherlands. Daisy Papp, Roger Bittel (in German) and others have conducted similar interviews, since the communications ban was lifted.

*The three lawyers (Antonia Fischer, Justus Hoffmann and Marcel Templin being the other two) ran a law practice called ‘Hafenanwälte’ (Harbour lawyers) in Berlin. The practice no longer exists.

Dr Justus Hoffmann, Antonia Fischer and Reiner Fuellmich, together with a fourth lawyer, Viviane Fischer, started the online information platform “Corona Investigative Committee (Corona Ausschuss) in July 2020.

Through interviews with international experts of a wide range of fields, alternative information to governments’ Covid-19 narratives was distributed, much to the dismay of especially the German government.

Antonia Fischer and Justus Hoffmann left Corona Investigative Committee in 2021.

When, in 2022, Fuellmich signed up as a candidate for the newly established political party Die Basis and seemed to be heading for a seat in the German parliament, things got grim.

The Hafenanwälte, unbeknown to Fuellmich, reported the latter to the authorities, claiming he had embezzled €700,000 of donations money.

Viviane Fischer joined their ranks, but never officially became a (claiming) party in the court proceedings.

Marcel Templin, in 2020, briefly worked for Fuellmich in relation to a string of class action suits, Fuellmich planned to conduct in cooperation with international colleagues. (Templin ended up embezzling over €1 million from Fuellmich, after the latter sold his house in Germany.)

Germany’s intelligence services, with the help of the four lawyers, lured Fuellmich into an administrative trap in Mexico, after which Fuellmich was kidnapped to Germany, under the pretence of a deportation.

Fuellmich was arrested upon arrival at Frankfurt airport and has been in pretrial attention, since.

The lower court of Göttingen declared him guilty, without having heard the defence’s witnesses, in May 2025. Fuellmich is currently awaiting the judgement of the higher court.
