Greenspan's Body Count: Ryah Leslie

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The murderous wrath of Alan Greenspan doesn’t discriminate rich from poor, or young from old. Victims of all sorts and backgrounds are listed on the roll of Greenspan’s Body Count.

Today’s victim is the sweet young Ryah Leslie of Centreville, Virginia.

Just 22, Ryah Leslie worked hard to make ends meet. Co-workers said she held down two jobs and rented out three rooms in her Centreville townhouse to help pay the mortgage.

She was a young woman with hopes, dreams, people who cared about her and a future that she thought would stretch for decades. But Sunday afternoon, Jan. 15, it was all taken away from her when she was murdered inside her home in the Woodgate Manor community.

Afterward, one of her renters, Benjamin Walker, went to the pre-release center at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center complex and reportedly told authorities he did it. Police then charged Walker, also 22, with her murder.

Ryah’s condo was 5923 Gunther Court, which was bought (presumably with help from her parents) in 2004 when Ryah was just 16. She appears to have paid $320,000 for it, and was assessed at $281,740 in 2010.

What on earth is a 16-year-old aspiring retail clerk doing paying $320,000 for a condo? Likely Ryah, like most people in 2004, thought homedebtorship was the key to building wealth. Fast forward six years, and she’s lost money on the condo and has to rent rooms out to dangerous people to pay the mortgage.

Greenspan’s Body Count stands at 208.

As Ryah Leslie’s uncle I must tell you that I am appauled that you would use her death for your own devices. Her death had nothing to do with Greenspan. I would say more but I do not want to jeopordize the case against the monster that took her life. Further, other than her name, you have absolutely none of the facts even close to be being accurate. Did anyone ever suggest that you should perform research before reporting on a story???

One thing you might want to add is that Ryah was neither rich nor poor but for sure she was wealthy in friends, family and spirit like no other I have ever known. Her funeral was attended by hundreds – most of whom representing all the pockets of people she had helped and guided in her short yet fruitful life.

She brought hope and joy where ever she walked and she will be missed by all that knew her and the thousands of those that will never have the opportunity to be aquainted with her heart, soul and very free spirit.
