Is a Covid political alignment coming?
I’m dubious about polling showing a majority of Americans are in favor of vaccine mandates, especially now that the evidence shows that a vaccination can’t prevent you from acquiring or transmitting COVID-19 — and that with Delta, a growing number of population studies are showing that the vaccinated are more likely to acquire COVID, more likely to be hospitalized, and more likely to die. Whether this has to do with antibody dependent enhancement; binding, non-sterilizing antibodies aiding the virus’ entry into the body; or some kind of fundamental re-orientation of the immune system, with down-regulation of sentinel cells and toll-like receptors, remains to be determined. Suppression of data has been a huge bureaucratic, governmental, and legacy media priority since at least the Orwellian Trusted News Initiative launched.
But the message that something seems off is breaking through — and it feels more and more like the information that’s been held back is ready is breach the cultural levy.
Dr Robert Malone, one of the inventors of mRNA technology and a critic of universal vaccination — whose access to the NEJM and JAMA has been restricted, despite his high profile and unimpeachable credentials — wrote and interesting thread today on Twitter, in which he speculates on a potential political re-alignment in the US, one that is being driven by censorship and a consensus-based approach to The Science.
Malone notes that, prior to his public discussions on COVID, he and one of the primary drivers of early sequential treatment, Dr Pierre Kory, would have considered themselves part of the center-left — which in my experience seems to be the default position of largely non-political professionals in any number of academic fields.
But that’s beginning to change:

If he’s right, the times, they are a-changin’. And as I’ve been arguing for over a decade now, it is the conservative, pro-liberty movement that is America’s counter-culture insurgency.
