Army PVT "SUICIDE" at Camp Stanley Korea - $25000 REWARD Offered

Here we go again.

Once more, the suspicious death of a military member gets labeled a “suicide” when evidence indicates the opposite.

How convenient that more times than not, the families and loved ones left behind dare not question or fight the “official story” of what supposedly happened.

In the case of Army PVT Douglas Anderson’s death at Camp Stanley, Korea on Feb. 16, 2015, his mother states in an “Open Letter” (see below) to members of the 46th Transportation Company “The Road Runners,” that she was raised in a military family and knows how the Command “can lie and cover-up” the truth.

WRITES “OPEN LETTER” TO TROOPS OFFERS $25,000 REWARD FOR INFO

Christina Anderson of Upstate New York is taking the unprecedented step of publicly offering a $25,000 reward for information “leading to the arrest and conviction” of those responsible for her son’s slaying.

In an exclusive interview, Mrs. Anderson told us her son, who arrived in Korea last October, had adjusted well to his new life in the Army.

“Doug was excited about his job there as a vehicle mechanic and wanted to make the military a career, as his grandfather had done.

“But he told me and family members in e-mails and via telephone that he had had some difficulties with at least three soldiers in his unit and that they had attacked and beaten him more than once during his time there. One of the soldiers he said he was afraid of was his actual roommate.

“When he reported the incidents to his first sergeant, he was told ‘suck it up, buttercup.’

SMALL UNIT OVERWHELMINGLY “MINORITY” ANDERSON ONE OF FEW WHITES

“My son was one of only two or three Caucasian members of the small 46th Transportation Co. He felt he had been targeted for torment, in part, because of the color of his skin.

I know if the numbers had been reversed, and Doug were Black or minority and died under suspicious circumstances in a nearly all-white unit, it wouldn’t take long for the likes of Al Sharpton and the mainstream media to jump all over the story trying to create a racial and hate crime angle to it.

Douglas was just 22, and I raised him to respect and get along with others, no matter who they were or what their ethnic background might be. He felt fear of being a ‘minority’ himself, at least as far as the racial makeup of his transportation company there in Korea.“

DEATH LABELED “SUICIDE’ RIGHT OFF THE BAT

“The Army was very quick to dub Doug’s death a ‘suicide’ and seemed hell-bent to get me to agree to allow them to cremate my son’s body back in Korea. I refused, and insisted they send his remains home for a Christian burial.

At the funeral home, I peeled off the white gloves that covered Doug’s hands and discovered bruises on his knuckles indicating he had been in a fight, and visible marks on his fingertips and fingernails damaged from punching at something, along with other defensive marks.

Autopsy photos showed marks on Doug’s throat, as if he’d been yanked from behind. It also had a mark there consistent with a ‘hanging.’ I noted the report indicated the ‘noose’ had a complex knot and could not tighten on my son’s throat.”

SHOWER ROD NOT HIGH ENOUGH TO HANG TALL SOLDIER FROM

“Doug stood six feet one inch tall, and the shower rod the CID said he hung himself from was just five inches more from the ground. That included a four inch splash guard at the floor. He could have easily pulled himself up, unless he was already dead by being choked from behind by one or more individuals.

Despite Doug’s fear of some of his fellow soldiers, he was in a good mood the night before he died when we talked on the telephone In fact, Doug joked with his younger brother during that conversation and expressed hope of coming home to see us after his tour in Korea was completed

Finally, my son’s religious faith and upbringing does not approve of suicide. He loved his family and was dearly loved by them . He would never put us through such pain.

I wrote the reward letter because I believe someone there knows something the Army would prefer kept quiet. Why did the CID not return Doug’s handwritten notebooks and daily journals that he told me he kept in his locker? And why was it that his room-mate, the one he’d had new trouble with earlier in the day, reported my son’s “death?” Why have other unit members been reluctant to tell us what really happened?

“Hell will freeze over before I give up on finding out the truth.”.

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE 46TH TRANSPORTATION CO., 194TH CSSB, 501ST SUSTAINMENT BDE, CAMP STANLEY, KOREA:

I am the mother of your former unit member, PVT Douglas Anderson, who died on February 16, 2015.

Notice I say “died,” because he did not commit “suicide” as the Army and some members of the company would like me to believe.

I don’t say that lightly. There is evidence that Doug was murdered, and his death made to look like he “hung” himself in his room. More about that, later on in this letter.

As a military brat – my father is a retired Air Force NCO – I learned long ago how the Command can lie and cover-up the truth. I am not going to just take the SGLI insurance money and “go away,” not to ask questions how my beloved son lost his life while in the service of his country.

Hell will freeze over before I quit trying to bring his killer or killers to justice. This is one GI’s mom who is not going to be fooled or intimidated by anyone.

There’s an old saying, “put your money where your mouth is.” Well, I intend to find out who murdered Doug – there could have been one or more, from the angle of the “rope” marks on his neck – and you can help. At the same time you, or a designated loved one or family member, will be paid $25,000 for any information you give me that leads to the arrest and conviction of whomever killed Doug.

The 46th is a very small unit and I am sure there has been plenty of private discussion among you as to what really happened. Some of you may well know the identity of who did this. In fact, he may have even boasted to you of getting away with it.

I promise you your identity will be protected. And that goes the same for MAJ MacDonald. All I ask is you hurry up and get me information I can pass on to force the CID to finally do their job. Whoever is first reaching me with information will be first in line to receive the money.

We need the name of the killer or killers, and also details of the circumstances that led up to the murder that took place just a few weeks ago.
