Hypocrisy

Joe Biden has called for Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign because of seemingly credible allegations that he has sexually harassed multiple women over decades.

The report released Tuesday by state Attorney General Letitia James summarized a months long probe by concluding that Cuomo “sexually harassed multiple women, and in doing so violated federal and state law,” James said at a press conference.

Oddly enough, after announcing her findings that Cuomo violated state and federal laws, James took no action to see that charges are filed against the man. So much for “me, too.”

Cuomo is now under threat of impeachment, something even some Democrats support.

Biden and Democrats calling for Cuomo to resign, get impeached, or even be prosecuted are hypocritical in the extreme, considering that similar allegations have been made against Biden.

Unlike with Cuomo, Biden has also been accused of inappropriate behavior with minor children. Recently, Biden rather uncomfortably focused upon, singled out, and called to his side a little girl, whom he then proceeded to lay hands on.

But like Cuomo, Biden also offered lame personality, cultural, or “times change” excuses for inappropriate touching. Biden

said that “social norms” about interpersonal behaviour have changed and vowed to be “mindful” of the new standards.

But he didn’t apologise for his past behaviour, arguing that he doesn’t believe politics should be “antiseptic” and has always tried to connect with people through physical touch.

He said “I’ve always tried to make a human connection.

“That’s my responsibility, I think. I shake hands.

“I hug people. I grab men and women by the shoulders and say ‘you can do this.

“Whether they’re women, men, young, old, it’s the way I’ve always been. The way I’ve tried to show I care about them and I’m listening.”

The double standard is glaring.

There are many, many stories in mainstream media about the allegations against Cuomo; by contrast there are very, very few stories in mainstream media about the allegations against Biden.

While many are discussing Cuomo, nobody’s talking about the elephant in the room called Joe Biden. Nobody in the Democrat party or in the mainstream media is calling for Biden to resign or be impeached.

Clear the decks. Let’s have a clean sweep.

Impeach them both.
